To clean plastic vinyl carpet protector you will need; Bucket, detergent, Hot water, Scrub brush, Water hose with spray, clean clothes or towels store. Remove floor protection from the carpet or other floor and take it off a clean surface as a concrete driveway, patio or other flat surface. Fill a bucket with 2 tablespoons of dish soap and 1 gallon warm water. Shake the soap solution with a scrub brush. Pour the soap solution on the side of the plastic floor protection containing caked-on dirt and grime.

Scrub the plastic vinyl carpet protector floor with a scrubbing brush. Rinse floor protection with clean water from a hose. Wipe plastic floor protectors with a dry rag or shop towel. You can also let it dry naturally, place the floor cover on a dry spot on your patio or driveway. Make sure the plastic protective floor is completely dry before placing it back on your floor or carpet.
